Please
read the following information before applying
1 -- You must complete an application for employment, even if you have a resume. If you have your resume in electronic text form (such as MS Word or as a .txt file) you may send it to us as an email attachment AFTER you have filled out and sent the application form below.
2 -- You may file an application with us even if you are seeking a position not currently available. Your application will be added to our database for further consideration if positions become open in your field of interest.
3 -- You will receive a phone call if you are selected for an interview. If the position for which you applied as already been filled, you will receive a letter notifying you.
4 -- If after your interview you are offered a position, you must then complete our pre-employment process. Employment depends on favorable results of that process. You will be asked to:
• Complete a medical history questionnaire
• Sign a drug test release form and undergo testing
• Read and sign a job description
• Be tested for tuberculosis
• Perform a lifting test (depending on nature of job)
• Watch some safety videos
• Sign a release authorizing us to perform a criminal background check (you may also be fingerprinted as part of that process). This is not required for clinical positions where licensure is required.
5 -- Depending on the results of the pre-employment screening process, we contact you with a job offer (you will be notified if you are found ineligible for the position).
6 -- If you are hired by Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, you will be asked to complete or provide:
• Two forms of identification meeting US Dept. of Justice requirements
• NC New Hire Report
• Federal and NC Tax withholding forms
• A H-CH confidentiality agreement
• Have your photo made for your employee badge
