Registered Nurses


Department: Med/Surg and ER

Status: PRN

Overview: Provides professional nursing care with compassion in accordance within a scope of practice approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Provides supervision of non-licensed nursing personnel. May from time to time act in the capacity of a Charge Nurse.

Education: Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program along with current licensure in North Carolina or a recognized NLCA Compact State.

Experience: 3+ years experience within an ER or Med/Surg setting. BLS and ACLS required, Pediatric and trauma education recommended.


Receptionist


Department: Cashiers Medical Center

Status: Full Time

Overview: Meets and greets all patients via phone calls and face to face. Responsible for obtaining medical records of patients prior to their scheduled appointments as required by physician(s). Compiles and verifies patient information in the charts, pulls charts, assembles new patient charts and copies all pertinent information including insurance cards, maintaining current and accurate patient charts. Enters patient data including insurance information into the computer system assigning them a patient number to allow billing department to accurately bill for services performed. Promptly and efficiently answers the phones and schedules patient appointments as outlined by physician preference, provides information to callers of services performed, communicates with referral sources and other physician offices for referrals and information.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 1 -2 years of experience in related position.


Phlebotomist


Department: Laboratory

Status: Full Time

Overview: The Phlebotomist is responsible for all blood collection and specimen and specimen routing. Other responsibilities include ordering supplies, filing and performing monthly counts.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Completed formal training as a Phlebotomist or has at least 3 years experience on the job. Applicant must possess accreditation with a National Professional Organization.

Experience: One year experience preferred. Can be entry level.

 

Medical Records Manager


Department: Medical Records

Status: Full Time

Overview: The Medical Record Manager will oversee and supervise the medical record department functions, including supervision of administrative and clinical data. The manager will insure that medical record services provided meet medical, administrative, legal, ethical, regulatory, and hospital requirements. The manager will also insure that medical record services are provided in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a health information technology program or equivalent education/experience is required. Previous experience in coding and transcription is essential. Previous management experience is desirable.

Experience: The employee must have previous work experience in a hospital medical records department.

 

Communications Specialist


Department: Marketing

Status: Part Time

Overview: Under general supervision of the Marketing & Foundation Director is responsible for implementing and administering activities relating to marketing communications, and public relations. Must be able to multi-task, research and assimilate information from a variety of sources, and follow through courses of communication actions. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Applicant should be proficient in writing news releases, radio scripts, video scripts and other materials.

Education: Any combination equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university, or equivalent experience (i.e., five to six years' related experience).

Experience: At least two years in the marketing or public relations field or demonstrated knowledge in the areas of communications and marketing.

 

Certified Nursing Assistant I


Department: Eckerd Living Center and Acute Care


Status: PRN and Full Time

Overview: Performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction and supervision of licensed personnel. The C.N.A. must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of approved NA I or NA II Courses, and currently listed as NA I with North Carolina Department of Facility Services. CNA II registered with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.


Experience: At least one year experience as a C.N.A. I. Must demonstrate ability to perform necessary duties.

 

Housekeeper


Department: Environmental Services


Status: PRN

Overview: To perform cleaning functions in assigned areas to create and maintain a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition for this facility. Job is of a diversified nature requiring prolonged standing, climbing, stooping, walking, and lifting throughout the workday.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.


Experience: Experience in hospital cleaning is preferred. Other cleaning experience is helpful. On the job training is acceptable.

Be tested for tuberculosis.

Perform a lifting test (based on job description).

Watch some safety videos.

Sign a release authorizing us to perform a criminal background check (you may also be fingerprinted as part of the process). This is not required for clinical positions where licensing is required.

 

5. Depending on the results of the pre-employment screening process, we contact you with an offer (you will be notified if you are found to be ineligible for the position).
